Diversifying Law Enforcement with Gary L. Hill

From Muskogee, OK to Jefferson City, MO for college at Lincoln University was a big move. Criminal Justice became his major and Law Enforcement has been his career ever since. He was a principal in the founding of the first HBCU Law Enforcement Training Academy at LU.
Gary Latron Hill wants to add to the diversity of Law Enforcement in our country. He was worked for the Cole County Sheriff and ran for Sheriff several years back. He is now the Police Chief at his alma mater, Lincoln University of Missouri, and the Director of LULETA, LU Law Enforcement Training Academy, where he also is an instructor. This is the first such academy any of the 107 HBCUs and Gary is working to spread the model to others. De-escalating situations involving police and promoting a community-building focus are two of his principles.
