Hermann Black History Month Symposium 2020

Saturday February 29, Hermann, MO will host a Symposium, as part of their first official Black History Month celebration, bringing out the rich history of German immigrants fighting for the abolition of slavery in Missouri.
Tammy Bruckerhoff, Director of Tourism for Hermann, MO, and Cecilia Nadal, Sociologist/Playright from St. Louis share their mutual shock and gratitude for the recent revelations they received about the German immigrants role in slave emancipation in Missouri. The Symposium is being made possible in part by the Missouri Humanities Council.
