Joyful Rebellion with Elizabeth Vega

Elizabeth is the founder of Art House, a housing cooperative for artists and activists on the north side of St. Louis that emerged directly out of the events in Ferguson following the shooting of Michael Brown. This grandmother mentors artist in non-violent social justice interventions.
St. Louis, El Paso and Louisville have been touchstones in the spiral of life for journalist-turned counselor, mentor, and artivist with her base at Art House. Why would anyone arrest this non-violent grandmother? They arrested MLK and many, many others along the way. You have to disobey a law to get it changed to be more just. Her heart went out to the immigrants in El Paso where she was part of another intervention. The most recent arrest was in Louisville, KY when they closed down a bridge. This is one passionate, creative, loving and joyful revolutionary.
