Pipelines to Success: Joshua D. Peters
Joshua Peters went from first in his family to graduate high school to Missouri State Representative for 3 terms. He is passionate about social, economic, and educational opportunity for all by working locally to make change happen.
Joshua Peters (StL) and my previous guest Antonio Lewis (AtL) met in Dr. Amy Gossett's political science class at Lincoln University. Peters went on to Lindenwood to get his MPA, became a Congressional Aide and political appointee in Washington DC, and came back to run for a MO House seat winning and serving 6 years for House District 76 in St.Louis. A car accident brought a serious shift in his political trajectory. More recently, he was selected to work for the President of Harris-Stowe State University as Dir. of Internal Operations. He talks about his goals and passion to serve.
