The Story of Ol Bill Clark with Bill Clark

Bill Clark of Columbia, MO has more than a few surprises in his colorful history: Army vet, graduate of Mizzou J School, columnist, weight-lifting and boxing coach, umpire, big league baseball scout, columnist for the Tribune, theatre/music critic, family man, columnist on Patreon, and a Birder.
I got to know Bill Clark when my dad, Warren Dalton, started writing history columns for the Columbia Tribune in 2005. Bill also did history columns. Then he started showing up at our Capital City Players productions in Jefferson City and complimenting us in his columns. He had a traffic stop in Columbia that unfairly cost him his job and more. I publicly supported and sympathized with him. We talk about it toward the end of the interview. Bill now posts 3 types of columns on Patreon.com: News and Views, This Week in History, and Backyard Birding. Patrons sign up to support Social Artists.
